COLUMBUS — Ohio State coach Ryan Day checked the box score at halftime. His running backs had a nice half of stats, but something just felt off about the Buckeyes running game. TreVeyon Henderson was averaging more than 6 yards per carry. Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins was north of 4, too. Ohio State had 87 rushing yards on 18 attempts. But this just didn't feel or look like the grand unveiling of a new Chip Kelly-led Buckeyes rushing attack that was going to revolutionize the way this offense runs the football. It was clunky in the season-opening 52-6 win over Akron on Saturday. At times, it was frustrating. But it was Week 1, and the Buckeyes were missing their third-year starter at left guard while also putting a new piece in at right guard and a new transfer center. Maybe it wasn't supposed to look perfect in the first week, even against Akron.
