Setting expectations for Ohio State hoops, Buckeyes head to NFL Combine
COLUMBUS — Ohio State business is about to pick up again.
The basketball team is coming off a disappointing loss to close out February. But the Buckeyes are still in position to make a little noise in the Big Ten tournament as Chris Holtmann tries to author some signature wins for his tenure leading the program.
The football Buckeyes are about to ramp up spring camp in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center next week, and it’s certainly going to be a key stretch of practices for a team with legitimate national-title aspirations. Before that opens, a handful of Ohio State representatives will be in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine looking to take the next step in their careers ahead of the draft at the end of April.
For now, though, March looms. And it’s going to be a busy, critical month for the Buckeyes — albeit with very different stakes on the hardwood as Holtmann and Ohio State enter the win-or-go-home stretch of the season. What should be expected of that program? That was one of the primary topics for the Lettermen Live crew as they returned to Roosters in Columbus after their trip on the Buckeye Cruise last week.
