COLUMBUS — Ohio State is the biggest draw every July at Big Ten Media Days, when all 18 teams send their head coaches and select players to speak to media to preview the upcoming season.

As the defending national champions, the Buckeyes will yet again be a massive draw at Media Days. Although this year, the event has a major change: the venue. But the headliner, Ohio State, will still draw huge crowds of media members.

Ohio State now knows the date for its turn at Big Ten Media Days. The Buckeyes will speak on the first day of media days on July 22 out in Las Vegas — headlining the first day of the three-day event for all 18 teams.

The Big Ten announced in February that Big Ten Media Days will be held in Sin City for the first time. It’s going to be the first time the event is in a city other than Indianapolis since 2019, when league media days were in Chicago.

The league also made the dates for Big Ten Media Days official, announcing that it’ll be a three-day event from July 22-24 on The Strip in Las Vegas. Specifically, the event will be at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

And of course, now it’s known that the Buckeyes will speak on the first day of the event.

Ohio State has traditionally brought its best stars to the event — mostly seniors. Last season, the Buckeyes sent defensive end Jack Sawyer, cornerback Denzel Burke and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to Indianapolis for Big Ten Media Days along with head coach Ryan Day.

The members of the much younger edition of the Buckeyes team this upcoming year heading to Las Vegas with Day won’t be revealed until this summer.
