COLUMBUS — The Ohio State defense has been on the rise – call it a crescendo of shutdown run D and marauding pass rush – since the fourth quarter of the close win over Nebraska on Oct. 26, but the defenders are taking nothing for granted headed into The Game against Michigan on Saturday.   That’s even if, while Ohio State is No. 1 nationally in total defense, the scrambling Wolverines are a mere 128th in total offense a season after their national championship run. The Buckeyes know they’re in the throes of a three-game losing streak to Michigan, which also has kept them out of the Big Ten title game those past three years.
