Gleitman's Goods: Predictions for the College Football Playoff bracket

The 2024 College Football Playoff bracket is set, and Ohio State will be the 8-seed, hosting 9-seed Tennessee in a first round game in The Horseshoe, at 8 PM ET on December 21. The other teams in the field of 12 include No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Boise State, No. 4 Arizona State, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Penn State, No. 7 Notre Dame, No. 10 Indiana, No. 11 SMU, and No. 12 Clemson. The first four seeds will receive a bye in round one, while the other eight teams will play four games on the campuses of the home team, an exciting new twist in this expanded playoff format. In this edition of Gleitman's Goods, I take a look at all of the matchups in round one and predict the winners of those, and the ensuing rounds, to see who will be the first winner and national champions of the 12-team College Football Playoff, now that the final bracket is set.
