Ohio State has nobody to blame but themselves for potentially unfavorable seeding in College Football Playoff

It was just two weeks ago when the scenarios were being run as to whether Ohio State would end up being the 1-seed or the 5-seed in the College Football Playoff, and which position was actually more favorable towards the Buckeyes' chances at winning a national title. As the nation awaits the CFP Committee's decision on the final field of 12 on Sunday, following conference championship games, the question is whether Ohio State will get the 6, 7, or 8 seed when the final rankings are announced. It's very possible it goes any number of ways. Ohio State will be compared to Texas and Penn State for those spots, and this will ultimately come down to the committee trying to establish of rewarding those who make conference championship games, regardless of how they got there, or looking at resumes straight up against each other.
