All eyes are on Happy Valley this weekend as number four Ohio State travels to number three Penn State in what should be another epic top five matchup in college football on Saturday. Both the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions are off to strong starts this season, but neither has looked perfect on their journey getting to this weekend. Ohio State started off strong against a weaker schedule, but shot themselves in the foot a few times in a one-point loss at Oregon three weeks ago, while also sleep-walking through a narrow win against Nebraska at home last week. Penn State is undefeated, but has looked very beatable against inferior teams at times, notably against Bowing Green in week two (also UCLA at home and Wisconsin on the road last week), and was somewhat lucky to come out of USC with an overtime win on the same day the Bucks fell in Eugene. Football is a game of inches and these two teams are very evenly matched. The winner of this game will be determined by whichever team makes fewer mistakes or potentially makes a big play when it matters most. Every edge/advantage, every drive, every series, and every play matters in this one. Today, Lettermen Row shares five pivotal elements to watch in the Big Noon Kickoff match-up that could determine the winner of the Ohio State at Penn State game on Saturday afternoon.
