COLUMBUS — The wait is finally over. Nearly nine months after Ohio State had to wait nearly all day for Jeremiah Smith to actually become a part of the program on National Signing Day, Smith's long-awaited debut is here. Smith was the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2024 and is widely considered as maybe the best receiver prospect ever. He followed the recruiting pedigree up by losing his black stripe earlier than any freshman ever at Ohio State. He is the first freshman to ever be named an 'Iron Buckeye' by Mickey Marotti. Smith has made insane plays look routine time and time again throughout this offseason, even against future NFL stars who have tried to defend him.
