COLUMBUS — The line is moving — and it’s moving away from the Ohio State side — ahead of the Buckeyes’ top-five clash against Indiana.

The folks at Fanduel Sportsbook set the line at Ohio State -12.5, and it has gotten up to nearly two touchdowns this week. Now it’s coming back down; the Buckeyes are just a 10.5-point favorite (as of Friday morning) for the top-five showdown between them and the Hoosiers.

Of course, the injury to Ohio State center and leader Seth McLaughlin has sent the college football world wondering how the Buckeyes offensive line will look this week, but the faith is still in the Buckeyes to win the game by double digits. It’s just not as much of a sure-thing as before. So sharps are coming in with money on Indiana and moving the line.

Athletic Director Ross Bjork pens open letter to Buckeye Nation

Ohio State is expecting to be a leader in the college athletics space moving into the next era of college football and all athletics.

With revenue sharing on the horizon, questions about the future of NIL and scholarship reductions to even the biggest athletic departments in America, Buckeyes athletic director Ross Bjork penned an open letter to Ohio State fans, boosters, supporters and the rest of ‘Buckeye Nation’ to address the future of Ohio State.

Subjects discussed in the open letter included revenue sharing, the future of NIL and the direct $20 million in payments, the House settlement, roster limits, scholarship funding and even shifting the rifle team from co-ed to women’s only beginning in 2029.

“The intercollegiate athletics landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation,” Bjork said in a statement about the open letter. “And through this change, it is our goal to continue the tradition of supporting 36 teams, prioritizing academics, winning and maximizing the student-athlete experience on and off the playing fields.”

The full open letter can be found here.

ICYMI: Buckeyes linebacker Garrett Stover loses black stripe

Ohio State is really excited about the future for freshman linebacker Garrett Stover. The first-year defender is earning his stripes and cutting his teeth on scout team this fall with an eye on that future. He took a huge step forward in his development Wednesday after practice.

Stover earned the removal of his black stripe, an indication that he’s officially a member of the football program.

Ohio State linebackers coach James Laurinaitis has been impressed with Stover’s athleticism since the former four-star from Sunbury arrived in the winter.
