COLUMBUS — Ohio State will close out its 2022 nonconference slate against the Toledo Rockets. Follow along with Lettermen Row for updates throughout the game.

Ohio State-Toledo fourth quarter updates

End of game. Ohio State defeats Toledo 77-21 and moves to 3-0 on the season ahead of Big Ten play. The Buckeyes out-gained Toledo 763 yards to 307. Dallan Hayden led the team in rushing with 108 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries.

7:08 4Q Touchdown, Ohio State. TC Caffey bulldozes his way through the Toledo defense for the first touchdown of his career. 77-21 Buckeyes. Scoring drive: three plays, 45 yards in 1:35.

End of the third quarter. Ohio State leads Toledo 56-21.

Ohio State-Toledo second quarter updates

Halftime. Ohio State leads Toledo 42-14. The Rockets will receive the ball out of the break. Ohio State out-gained Toledo 441 yards to 174. C.J. Stroud is 18-of-20 passing for 297 yards and four touchdowns.

Fleming, Harrison Jr. each with two touchdowns

7:16 2Q Touchdown, Ohio State. Marvin Harrison Jr. reels in another one on a strike in the back of the end zone from C.J. Stroud. Emeka Egbuka brought the Buckeyes across the 50-yard line with a 28-yard reception on a swing pass. 35-14 Ohio State. Scoring drive: seven plays, 75 yards in 3:25.

10:41 2Q Touchdown, Rockets. Dequan Finn caps an impressive drive with a 23-yard touchdown run after converting a fourth-and-5 inside Ohio State territory to extend the drive. 28-14 Ohio State. Scoring drive: 11 plays, 75 yards in 4:29.

Buckeyes-Rockets first quarter updates

End of the first quarter. Ohio State leads 28-7. Toledo has the ball on its own 27-yard line when play resumes.

0:10 1Q Touchdown, Ohio State. C.J. Stroud rolls out of the pocket and completes a touchdown pass to Julian Fleming for a 28-7 lead. Scoring drive: seven plays, 71 yards in 2:58.

3:08 1Q Ohio State forces another three-and-out. Tommy Eichenberg made the stop on third-and-1. The Buckeyes take over on their own 29-yard line.

4:29 1Q Touchdown, Ohio State. Emeka Egbuka scores on a jet sweep to the right side and caught the pylon for a score. Ohio State broke things open with a stellar 42-yard pass from C.J. Stroud to Marvin Harrison Jr. 21-7 Buckeyes. Scoring drive: five plays, 59 yards in 1:59.

10:25 1Q Touchdown, Toledo. The Rockets even the game up on their first drive of the game. Dequan Finn lofted a 50-yard pass over the middle of the Buckeyes secondary to Thomas Zsiros. The game is tied, 7-7. Scoring drive: four plays, 75 yards in 46 seconds.

11:11 1Q Touchdown, Ohio State. TreVeyon Henderson followed the lead block from Mitch Rossi into the end zone for a 7-yard touchdown run. 7-0 Ohio State. Scoring drive: eight plays, 82 yards in 3:45.

14:56 1Q Ohio State won the toss and chose to receive. Buckeyes begin the game on their own 18-yard line.
