COLUMBUS — Ohio State reserve offensive lineman Miles Walker has entered the transfer portal.

Walker will have three years of eligibility remaining wherever he chooses to go.

The second-year offensive lineman did not appear in any games during his two-year career with the Buckeyes.

Walker, a Greenwich, Connecticut, native, was Ohio State’s lowest-rated offensive line signee in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He clocked out as the No. 521 overall prospect that cycle, but Day and Frye liked what they saw from the The Constitution State native. Walker spearheaded a Brunswick School offensive line that allowed only eight sacks over 200 pass attempts and helped the team rush for 1,836 yards and 25 touchdowns in 10 games.

Walker, a two-sport athlete, also played baseball in high school. He brought a 6-foot-5, 285-frame to Ohio State that, with the help of strength and conditioning coach Mick Marotti, Walker’s already filling out. He’s now 317 pounds. But, like Padilla and Siereveld, Walker didn’t get on the field last season.

He was part of a four-man offensive line recruiting class for offensive line coach Justin Frye. The others, Luke Montgomery, Austin Siereveld and Josh Padilla, have all pushed for playing time during their two-year careers so far. Walker, injured for his first season on campus, was the latest member of the 2023 recruiting class to lose his black stripe last November.

And the developmental path he was on appeared to be showing signs of working. But now after two seasons at Ohio State, Miles Walker is on his way out. He is entering the transfer portal.
