Photos: Ohio State stars shine for NFL scouts, coaches
COLUMBUS — The headliners were Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave it was a non-draft eligible quarterback that stole the show at Ohio State on Wednesday.
C.J. Stroud, throwing alongside Buckeyes national championship-winner quarterback Cardale Jones, had dozens of NFL scouts, coaches and agents buzzing as he made throw after throw all over the Woody Hayes Athletic Center indoor field. This wasn’t the primary NFL audition for Stroud but there’s no doubt many in attendance were watching him just as closely as Wilson and Olave, both soon-to-be first round NFL Draft picks.
Consider this a rough draft of what’s to come for the Ohio State quarterback.
“I heard some good things [about the performance], plus some things I could work on,” Stroud said after. “Some quarterback coaches said there were some things I could work on, and I definitely want to take all the feedback I can because that’s somewhere I want to be.
“I feel like I did a good job. I want a couple throws back, but I feel like it was a decent day. I think it was an opportunity for me to show what I can do, and I feel like this will elevate my confidence a little bit for my Pro Day. I can’t do anything but thank Garrett and Chris for letting me do this with them.”

Overall, 11 different former Ohio State football players took part in the Pro Day festivities on Wednesday. Alongside Wilson and Olave were running back Master Teague, receiver Chris Booker, athlete Demario McCall and offensive linemen Thayer Munford and Nicholas Petit-Frere on offense. On the other side of the ball, three defensive linemen — Antwuan Jackson, Tyreke Smith and Haskell Garrett — put their skills on display. Tight end Jeremy Ruckert missed the day’s workout as he recovered from a foot injury.
Lettermen Row was in attendance and has some photos from the festivities in Columbus. Check those out down below.
