Quinshon Judkins declares for NFL Draft
COLUMBUS — Quinshon Judkins is leaving Ohio State as a national championship-winning running back.
The junior superstar, who had three touchdowns in Monday night’s national title win over Notre Dame, has declared for the NFL Draft — according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
After carrying the ball at least 270 times in each of his two seasons at Ole Miss, Judkins split carries with fellow star tailback TreVeyon Henderson this season — and both future NFL stars thrived in that role on the way to a national championship victory.
He had 194 carries for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also had 22 grabs for 161 receiving yards and two touchdowns through the air for the Buckeyes in the 16-game national title run.
He nearly didn’t even end up at Ohio State, though. While the Buckeyes were still waiting on an NFL Draft decision from Henderson last January, and just minutes after Michigan had won a national championship, Judkins committed to the program for his junior year after surprisingly entering the portal following two strong seasons with Ole Miss. He ran for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2023. He was also a weapon out of the backfield, catching 22 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
That came on the heels of a freshman season that put him on the radar of just about every college football fan nationally. As a true freshman, Judkins ran for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns.

He was an all-SEC tailback in both of those two seasons with the Rebels. But he never won big games that truly mattered with Ole Miss, and he needed a change of scenery.
Ohio State was his choice — even though he could have went anywhere in the country for his third year of college football. He and Henderson formed one of the best running back duos in Big Ten history, both toting the ball for more than 1,000 yards on the ground on their way to a national title.
Judkins had three total touchdowns in the national championship win over Notre Dame to go along with 100 rushing yards.
Now after winning a title with the Buckeyes, Judkins is off to the NFL.
