National Signing Day is two weeks away, and while Ohio State is working to try and add some top recruiting targets to their class, they're also working tirelessly to try and keep their current commits in the fold as other programs work to flip them away. On Monday, the first shoe dropped on the flip front, as Philadelphia (PA) Imhotep defensive end Zahir Mathis announced he was opening up his recruitment. The Buckeyes remain a top choice for Mathis, but he's now exploring his options again. Whether it's NIL, the opportunity for earlier playing time, the chance to stay closer to home, or other reasons, flips happen all the time. Ohio State is hoping they can counter any of the aforementioned reasons with other commits in their class, especially this close to Signing Day, when it's harder to replace them in the cycle. Today, we take a look at a number of Ohio State pledges that are still looking around a bit, assigning alert levels of yellow (mild concern), orange (medium concern), and red (high concern) for each prospect featured.
