Philadelphia (PA) Imhotep 2025 defensive end Zahir Mathis has been committed to Ohio State since January 10. In the eight months since that pledge, things haven't been totally smooth sailing, though, as the 6-foot-5, 220-pound EDGE prospect has been looking around a bit, mainly at home state school Penn State, inclusive of two visits to Happy Valley over the summer. Mathis did not even make an official visit to Ohio State this summer, instead punting that trip to Columbus until the fall for a game weekend. Things have been quiet in regards to when that trip could take place, but it appears there's a bit more clarity now that we're approaching crunch time. Today, Lettermen Row has the latest regarding Mathis's plans to visit Ohio State and where things stand with the Buckeyes and the 4-star prospect, who ranks 62nd nationally per the On3 Industry.
