Tim May: Buckeyes offense leaning on run game ahead of major challenges
COLUMBUS — Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin’s charitable foundation, which raises funds for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, not only bears the name “Run the damn ball,” that’s actually his mindset put to words, too. That’s the reason he had a smile on his face leaving Wrigley Field three days ago after the Buckeyes dispatched Northwestern 31-7. The Wildcats boasted the No. 16 defense in the nation against the run, but like a heavyweight fighter intent on imposing his will, the Buckeyes kept swinging with their offensive line and backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson on the way to a respectable 173 yards rushing, 65 above the Northwestern average.
