COLUMBUS — After three games Ohio State is sitting No. 2 in the nation in average yards per carry (7.02) and No. 14 in rushing offense (241.0), but as coach Ryan Day made it clear Tuesday, now is not the time to be sitting fat and happy about anything as the No. 3 Buckeyes prepare to start Big Ten play at Michigan State on Saturday night. Asked whether he at least feels good about the improvement of the run game, something that was a point of emphasis when he brought in Chip Kelly as the new offensive coordinator mid-winter, Day didn’t stray from the game face he bore throughout his regular weekly media conference.
