Today’s question is once again about Tristan Leigh after his planned visit to Columbus for the Buckeyes Bash fell through.
Ohio State Recruiting Question of the Day
Does Tristian Leigh not being able to make the Buckeye Bash put the final nail in the coffin in his recruitment, yes or no? And if yes, what other prospects will the Buckeyes look to finish OL for 2021?

The latest twist in the Tristan Leigh recruitment was supposed to be a visit to Columbus for the Buckeyes Bash. But after that trip didn’t happen, it sure seems like Ohio State is running out of time and opportunity to show the 5-star offensive tackle why it’s the right place for him.
While nearly a dozen Buckeyes commitments and uncommitted defensive back Derrick Davis were having a bond-strengthening weekend outside of Columbus, Leigh was still in Virginia, unable to make the trip due to personal reasons.
“Really was looking forward to joining the Ohio State class this weekend at the Buckeye Bash,” Leigh tweeted. “Due to some family issues that came up, me and Aidan Leigh will not be attending.
As the recruiting dead period drags on, it becomes harder and harder for recruits to make any kind of visits. The Buckeyes have been trailing Oklahoma and LSU for some time now, which was one of the reasons the planned visit to Columbus was so vital. There’s been a long battle for Leigh, and some recent NCAA-related issues for LSU gave the Buckeyes a small opening to potentially exploit.
Now they’ll have to cross their proverbial fingers for another chance to do that.
While it seems like a long shot to happen, Leigh’s mother told Lettermen Row that they still do hope to get back to Ohio at some point.
“I hope so,” Laura Rigney said. “We were really bummed to miss it.”
As was the case earlier this month, the Buckeyes aren’t ready to give up the pursuit of Leigh just yet. Ryan Day, Greg Studrawa and Kennedy Cook — Studrawa’s offensive line assistant — have been working hard to close the gap on the Sooners and Tigers. They know there’s plenty of work left to do.

Even the recruits hoping to lure Leigh to Ohio State know that, and they’re usually a pretty confident group.
“I would be surprised if he ends up here,” one of the Buckeyes verbals said. “But it’s not dead yet. Our coaches are still recruiting him and seems like they’re not going to stop any time soon.”
The road to landing Tristan Leigh isn’t at a dead end just yet, but time is running short for the Buckeyes.
