COLUMBUS — Ohio State is 3-0 with a major win already on its resume. The Buckeyes are the No. 1 team in the country.

But the program at the top of the sport coming off its national title hasn’t hit the road yet to face a challenge away from home. That will change Saturday when the Buckeyes head west to face the undefeated Washington Huskies in Seattle.

Ohio State will do so as a 9.5-point favorite, according to the folks at BetMGM. The total has been set at 52.5 points.

It’ll be the second time Ohio State will play in the Pacific Northwest since the Big Ten expanded to 18 teams in 2024. The Buckeyes lost by one point at Oregon last season.

Despite heading to Husky Stadium, where Washington has won its last 22 games, the Buckeyes are expected to win by double digits in the first-career road start for quarterback Julian Sayin — and the first road test for this team overall on the year.

This matchup in Seattle is part of a headliner college football weekend that’ll also see Oregon head to Penn State, Alabama head to Georgia, USC head to Illinois, Auburn head to Texas A&M and LSU head to Ole Miss, as well as other huge games.

With all of those other major games happening, the college football slate is loaded. And Ohio State will be a part of that weekend, heading to Washington as a favorite over the Huskies.
