Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin signs with Bengals as undrafted free agent

COLUMBUS — Seth McLaughlin only spent one season at Ohio State, cast away from Alabama for snapping issues.
He corrected all of those issues with the Buckeyes, becoming the Rimington Trophy winner as the country’s top center and earning All-American honors before tearing his achilles and missing the final six games of the year — including the four-game run to the College Football Playoff national championship win.
After bumping his draft stock along the way, despite the injury, McLaughlin was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
McLaughlin is recovering from that torn achilles, which he suffered during a mid-November practice ahead of the Buckeyes home win over No. 5 Indiana. He was out for the remainder of the season.
