Buckeyes name players of game from Arkansas State win
Ohio State moved to 2-0 on the season by taking down Arkansas State for an easy nonconference win in the Horseshoe on Satuday.
As usual on Sundays during the season, the Buckeyes named their players of the game after beating the Red Wolves for their second win of the year.
On offense, the Buckeyes named Marvin Harrison Jr. the player of the game for his three-touchdown performance. Harrison Jr. caught three scores for the second time in his career on Saturday.
Defensively, Steele Chambers was named the player of the game after tallying six total tackles and a sack. He has impressed in both games so far this season. And on special teams, linebacker Palaie Gaoteote was named the player of the game after splitting it last week. He has impressed on coverage units in both weeks.

Buckeyes hold steady in AP Poll after blowout win
Ohio State has plenty still to work on.
But the Buckeyes moved to 2-0 after their latest win, a 45-12 beating of Arkansas State on Saturday afternoon in the Horseshoe.
Ohio State is leaving Week Two behind with the No. 3 slot in the AP Poll for the second straight week, trailing only defending national runners-up Alabama and national champion Georgia. Michigan and Clemson rounded out the top five yet again.
Ohio State received one first-place vote after the win over Arkansas State, showing that there are some pollsters who watched the Buckeyes beat the Red Wolves despite it not being a marquee matchup during the Saturday slate in college football this week.

Ohio State opens as big favorite over Toledo
Ohio State always makes sure to celebrate a win.
But after the latest victory, this time 45-12 over Arkansas State in Week Two, the Buckeyes know there’s plenty to fix. Offensively, the Buckeyes were sporadic. Defensively, they made some mistakes, even though they kept the Red Wolves out of the end zone for the day.
All Ohio State knows: it needs to just keep getting better after the 2-0 start to the season. And it has another chance to do so next Saturday under the lights against Toledo. The Buckeyes will head into that matchup as a 34-point favorite over the Rockets, according to VegasInsider. The total is set at 63.5.
And there’s a lot for the Buckeyes to gear up for this week.
