The summer offseason is in full swing, and Lettermen Row is trying to survive it with our annual Position Week breakdowns. By the time all nine units and coaching staff at Ohio State have been covered, training camp and media days will nearly have arrived, and the return of football in the Horseshoe will be just around the corner. We’re continuing with our fifth and final offensive positional week with an retooled unit: the Buckeyes offensive line.

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has the talent needed to reload along the offensive line.

Nevermind that the Buckeyes lost three starters from last year, including two two-year starters at a first-round left tackle. And nevermind that folks around the country expect the Buckeyes offensive line to take a sizable step back in the upcoming season.

The expectations for this unit are extremely high. And offensive line coach Justin Frye can’t wait to continue what the line showed in spring ball when the Buckeyes get to training camp in August.

“I’m excited to get into it and see how it all pans out,” Frye said in late May. “Because there’s a lot of competition, really at all five spots.”

Lettermen Row’s Spencer Holbrook, Andy Backstrom and Tim May are back for another breakdown, this time about the Buckeyes intriguing offensive line room as part of Offensive Line Week at Lettermen Row. The crew breaks down the Ohio State depth chart, the candidates for playing time, potential sleeper picks and more in the latest Lettermen Row video presented by Byers Auto!
