Emeka Egbuka added to Biletnikoff Award watch list
Ohio State sophomore wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has been one of the breakout stars so far this season for the Buckeyes.
He is gaining plenty of national attention in the process. On Wednesday, Egbuka was added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the best receiver in college football.
Egbuka currently leads the Buckeyes with 30 catches, 512 yards and five receiving touchdowns. He has been a focal point of the offense, especially as Ohio State is still without top receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In the absence of their superstar, the Buckeyes have relied on Egbuka to be a key starter.
And because Egbuka has answered that call, he is earning his way into the conversation for the Biletnikoff Award.

The Buckeyes will battle the Michigan State inside Spartan Stadium on Saturday afternoon for a Big Ten East matchup. In preparation for the Buckeyes game against the Spartans, they practiced Wednesday night and select players met with the media shortly after.
Spencer Holbrook and Tim May were back inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center after practice, breaking down how the Buckeyes are turning their focus to Michigan State in the latest Practice Report presented by Byers Auto. Every Wednesday night following the media session with select Buckeyes players, Tim and Spencer will chat about what they saw Saturday night and look ahead to what to expect from Ohio State the next Saturday.
After hearing from major Buckeyes playmakers, the Lettermen Row crew is back for a full report on what it learned.

So Tim May and the Tim May Podcast had to make sure to catch up with one of the backs Williams now shares that touchdown record with! Tim is back to recap everything that happened in the Horseshoe over the weekend, and he has a special guest to break down the Big Ten game inside the Horseshoe on Saturday.
Tim welcomes former Ohio State running back Keith Byars to the show to break down how good the Buckeyes tailbacks are becoming. They also chat about what it’s like to score five touchdowns in one game and how the offensive line is doing just five games into the season.
Then Tim and Michigan State reporter Jack Ebling break down every angle of the upcoming Ohio State matchup against the Spartans — the first Buckeyes road game of the season, coming a bit later than most other seasons.
