Four Buckeyes land in too-early first-round NFL Mock Draft
ESPN’s Matt Miller released its new 2025 NFL mock draft with predictions for all 32 first round picks next spring, including some trades. It might be a bit too early, but that’s OK. And Ohio State was absolutely included in the latest mock draft.
Oddly, Miller doesn’t have any Buckeyes in the first 21 picks — and then he has four in the final 11 picks of the first round.
It all starts at pick No. 22 with senior defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, who Miller has going to the Atlanta Falcons. From there, Miller has defensive tackle Tyleik Williams going No. 24 overall to the Green Bay Packers, a high draft grade for Williams. He has running back Quinshon Judkins going No. 27 overall to the Dallas Cowboys, who will likely desperately need a running back next offseason. Judkins is expected to be a huge factor for the Buckeyes. And finally, Miller has star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka going No. 30 overall to the Detroit Lions.
We expect more than four Buckeyes to garner first-round grades as the season progresses. For now, he has four Buckeyes in that first round. Good thing it’s too early to take these mock drafts seriously.
Decision day arrives for in-state star Justin Hill
Justin Hill, a four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods EDGE prospect, has been on the Buckeyes’ radar for more than 400 days — when Ohio State offered him a scholarship. But the time of being a recruit and exploring opportunities is coming to a close for Hill.
He will announce his commitment in exactly 24 hours, July 3, 1 p.m. EST. July 3 is his 18th birthday as well. Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon and USC are the finalists. He took official visits to all four and spent the last few weeks locked in with his family set to make a decision.
Lettermen Row‘s Matt Parker broke down the final pieces of his recruitment and calls our shot on where we think Hill will decide.
Lettermen Row first met with Hill on March 15, 2023. That was a week before he visited Ohio State and earned his offer from the Buckeyes. This quote has always stood out to us on staff and it’s funny to see how things have all played out.

Ohio State dominates Phil Steele All-American teams
College football preseason magazine legend Phil Steele has released his magazine to stores. And he clearly loves Ohio State this season.
That’s why Steele has Buckeyes stars all over the preseason All-American teams; Steele released a first-team, second-team, third-team and fourth-team All-American lists for the preseason.
Steele has listed senior starting left guard Donovan Jackson as a preseason first-team All-American. He also put the same label on senior defensive tackle Tyleik Williams.
Steele left second-year safety Caleb Downs, a former Alabama superstar and Freshman All-American last year, off his first-team — and put him on the second-team list along with senior running back TreVeyon Henderson, senior defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau and senior cornerback Denzel Burke. All three of those seniors returned to the Buckeyes to win a national title.
