Buckeyes draw early kickoff slot for Iowa matchup
COLUMBUS — Ohio State has an off week before it squares off with Big Ten foe Iowa.
Now the Buckeyes know exactly when they’ll take on the Hawkeyes — and fans now know how they can watch the game.
Ohio State and Iowa will kick off at Noon on Oct. 22, the networks and Big Ten announced on Monday. Ohio State will play in the Noon slot for the first time this season, and it’ll get the full Big Noon Kickoff treatment from FOX in the process.
The Buckeyes have played three night games and three afternoon games so far this year. They finally have a Noon kickoff for the seventh game of the year.
But before they can get to that Noon slot, they’ll have a week to learn, rest and recover as they prepare to enter a championship chase through October and November — and into December and January.
For now, it’s time for Ryan Day and his staff to make sure No. 2 Ohio State is back to full strength before facing Iowa.

“It is exciting to know,” Day said. “That if we can get everybody back in there, at full strength, then certainly we could put a lot of stress on defenses.”
The Buckeyes still have 12 days until they face off with the Hawkeyes — with presumably a full bill of health on the roster. Now they know when it will take place: they’ve drawn the Noon slot on FOX for the first time all year.

Buckeyes vs. Iowa: 12 days away
Buckeyes vs. Michigan: 47 days away
