Kamryn Babb ‘taking precautions,’ expecting to be back for Buckeyes
An injury setback is nothing new for Ohio State wide receiver Kamryn Babb. But what is new is just a small injury, one he’ll bounce back from quickly.
After suffering four ACL tears in his career, Babb had a ‘nicked up’ knee injury last week. But the senior captain and wide receiver is tracking for a full comeback in just a few weeks. And in the meantime, he’ll make sure he is fully healthy before he returns.
“I nicked it up a little bit a few days ago,” Babb said Wednesday night. “So just taking precautions and just kind of trying to take it slow, day by day and making sure I’m full go when I’m able to get out there.”
Babb has been waiting for his chance to finally be on the field. And in the next couple of weeks, he’ll finally get that opportunity — after he heals from the latest knee setback.

Buckeyes heavily represented on Senior Bowl watch list
Ohio State players continue to find their way on preseason watch lists and more found another list at the turn into the regular season.
Nine Buckeyes were named to the Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watch list on Wednesday.
Cornerback Cameron Brown, defensive tackle Jerron Cage, defensive end Tyler Friday, defensive end Zach Harrison, defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste, offensive tackle Dawand Jones, offensive guard Matthew Jones, safety Josh Proctor and defensive lineman Taron Vincent were all named to the list.
Ohio State year in and year out sends plenty of talent to the senior bowl. The Buckeyes sent two seniors to last year’s edition of the scouting event — Haskell Garrett and Tyreke Smith — and both were picked by teams in the NFL.
