COLUMBUS — Ohio State trailed Marshall on Saturday for an extra point attempt, a kickoff and then two offensive snaps. Just like that, tie game. Buckeyes never trailed again. Yes, the Thundering Herd drove the ball down the field to open the game with a 13-play, 75-yard statement drive to show the Buckeyes that they weren't going to roll over in the Horseshoe. But it took just two plays for Ohio State to snatch momentum back -- and never look back. Quarterback Will Howard fired a screen pass to the right for Emeka Egbuka, who caught it, turned upfield and went 68 yards without being touched for a touchdown. Explosive. By the end of the first half, Ohio State had 28 points on 21 plays. And at the end of the game, the Buckeyes first-team offense had scored 49 points on 44 plays. Efficient.
