COLUMBUS — The Ohio State offensive line seems already settled.

The starting five is being pieced together early in spring, meaning continuity could be as strong as ever for the five-man unit. But that doesn’t mean the Buckeyes lack intrigue in the trenches.

Yes, Paris Johnson has All-American potential at left tackle. Sure, Donovan Jackson brings plenty of hype as he figures to line up beside returning center Luke Wypler. And the right side? Veterans Matt Jones and Dawand Jones make a massive pairing that will certainly be able to move bodies.

But the offensive line unit didn’t perform up to standard last season. And with a new coach leading that position group, the Buckeyes are working to get back to being true road-graters and excellent pass-protectors for C.J. Stroud and the offensive skill talent. They have all the talent to do whatever they want to do up front.

Of course, the tight end unit was also a big talking point, as Cade Stover moves back onto the offensive side and young players begin to emerge.

After hearing from the offensive line and tight end rooms, there was so much to break down.

What were the biggest takeaways from the media session on Thursday? Who is making the most progress on the offensive line? How does the move back to tight end impact Cade Stover and the rest of the Buckeyes tight ends on the roster? And what should be expected of Luke Wypler entering Year Two as the starting center with Ohio State?

That’s the summary of the latest Practice Report presented by Byers Auto, the best place to buy a new or used car in Central Ohio. Check out the video below or on the Lettermen Row Youtube channel.
