ATLANTA — Ohio State and Georgia are no strangers to the College Football Playoff.

The Buckeyes are on this stage for the fifth time. Georgia is here for the third time. Both have won a national title under the current four-team CFP model. And for just the second time in history, the two historic heavyweights will meet on the field with a shot to play for a national title on the line.

Georgia is the defending national champion. The Bulldogs haven’t lost all year, and they’re viewed as the favorite to repeat as college football’s king. Ohio State, on the other hand, hasn’t won a national title in nearly a decade. The last time on the field, the Buckeyes were beaten at home by Michigan — but snuck into the four-team field.

But all season, these were looked at as the two best teams in the sport. Now they’ll finally meet in a semifinal. Buckle up.

That’s the rundown. Here’s what the Lettermen Row staff thinks will happen in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Score predictions for Ohio State vs. Georgia

Spencer Holbrook: Georgia wins 37-33

Tim May: Buckeyes win 38-35

Andy Backstrom: Georgia wins 38-30

Matt Parker: Georgia wins 45-31
