COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Ohio State expected a challenge on the road at Maryland on Saturday.

But it was everything the Buckeyes could handle — and it was nearly too much to overcome. They got the best shot from the Terrapins inside SECU Stadium.

A usual cast of special playmakers, and the heroics of one of the newest Ohio State offensive weapons, made the difference as the Buckeyes held on for a 43-30 win over Maryland in the penultimate game of the regular season. The win sets up a massive showdown between the undefeated Buckeyes and undefeated Michigan next weekend in the Horseshoe.

Lettermen Row was on site in College Park to make sense of the Buckeyes win over Maryland. Spencer Holbrook, Tim May and Andy Backstrom are breaking down how the Buckeyes were able to stave off a feisty Maryland upset bid thanks to a talented true freshman tailback and some special teams magic.

Of course, there’s still plenty left to figure out with the Buckeyes, including running back injuries and questions elsewhere.

Don’t miss the newest Rapid Reaction driven by Byers Auto with Spencer and Andy as they go in-depth on the Buckeyes latest win — this time over the Terrapins on the road.
