Buckeyes assign jersey numbers for freshman class ahead of training camp
COLUMBUS — Ohio State training camp is inching closer and closer, as the Buckeyes will get back to work to try getting back in the College Football Playoff.
Of course, there are new faces and names joining the program for the first time following their recruiting process. And the star-studded 2022 Ohio State recruiting class is one step closer to beginning their careers with the Buckeyes.
All true freshmen have now been assigned their first-year jersey numbers, according to the updated roster on the athletic department website. The 21-man class, which features three five-star players according to On3, is set to get underway.

And the Buckeyes are excited to see them get to work.
“First off, I’m very excited about this class,” Day said on National Signing Day in December. “The athletic ability, and the potential, these guys have to be really good football players that’s one thing.
“But it’s also the type of people that we have that are coming into this program.”
With the updated roster, Lettermen Row took a look at it all and noticed the new jersey numbers for the freshmen. The new Buckeyes are all accounted for as the class of 2022 is set to open their college careers.
