Ryan Day expecting Buckeyes to be at full strength for opener
Ohio State tried to make sure it was becoming a tougher team in the preseason.
The Buckeyes came out of camp with the thought that they are tougher, and they’re still healthy as a team, even after a month of tough work.
Ohio State coach Ryan Day believes the Buckeyes will be at full strength for the Saturday night clash with Notre Dame — even after the rigorous month of work.
“That’s the balance that you try to find is: how do you make your team tougher and more physical and callous, hard?” Day said. “But then also making sure that they’re healthy and ready to go in his first game. I think we struck that balance. … that balance has been good. I think we do see it. You know, it’s exciting to know that we’re at full strength.”
Breaking down where Notre Dame may have edge, present problems for Buckeyes
The Buckeyes are prepping for the Fighting Irish inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center all week with the top-five showdown just a few days away. But the folks in South Bend are also gearing up to make the trip — with an early-season upset on their minds.

How ready is the Ohio State defense to defend Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer on Sept. 3? How is the Notre Dame offense planning to challenge the new-look Ohio State defense? What are the expectations for this Saturday night under the lights inside Ohio Stadium? Spencer from Lettermen Row and Tyler from Blue & Gold.
