Ohio State reveals players of game from win over Iowa
Ohio State used a dominant defensive performance and, eventually, a scoring outburst to easily move past Iowa with a 54-10 win on Saturday.
And just a day after the blowout win at home, the program named its players of the game from the impressive victory over the Hawkeyes.
Ohio State linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, who had seven tackles and an interception return for a touchdown, split the co-defensive player of the game honors with defensive end Zach Harrison, who had two tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass deflection.
On special teams, Noah Ruggles was a perfect four of four on field goal attempts, so he was named co-special teams player of the game alongside Chip Trayanum, who was active on special teams all game.
No offensive players were named players of the game as of Sunday night.
Buckeyes open as double-digit road favorite at Penn State
Now the Buckeyes have a much tougher challenge ahead of them this week. They’ll hit the road to face No. 13 Penn State in State College in one of the biggest remaining games on the schedule and just second road game so far this season.
Ryan Day and Ohio State will hit the road expected to win by double-digit, opening as a 15-point favorite for the ranked showdown at Noon on FOX. The total is set at 61.5 points, according to the folks at Circa Sports.
The Buckeyes will play a road game at Penn State as a day game for the first time in a decade.
After a blowout win over Iowa on Saturday, Ohio State is playing good football at a perfect time. But so is Penn State, a team that beat Minnesota this weekend.
Buckeyes stay put in latest AP Poll
The Buckeyes soundly beat Iowa 54-10 on Saturday in the Horseshoe, but it took some time to get the offense going.

Ohio State was on point defensively against one of the worst offenses in the country and the six forced turnovers are the highlights.
The hot start from the defense allowed the Buckeyes offense to eventually crack the stout Iowa defense in the second half. Quarterback C.J. Stroud tossed four touchdowns to four different receivers and running back Miyan Williams found the end zone.
And for its efforts, the Buckeyes remain locked in as the No. 2 team in the latest AP Top 25. Ohio State received 18 first-place votes.
