Four Buckeyes land on Walter Camp All-American teams
COLUMBUS — Ohio State players are littered across yet another All-American list. This time, the prestigious Walter Camp All-American list recognized four Buckeyes superstars as among the best in the country at what they do.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was one of two first-team All-Americans by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. He is joined by Buckeyes left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., who was also a first-team selection. Both will have trees planted in Buckeye Grove because of the honor.
Harrison, a Biletnikoff Award finalist, had 72 catches for 1,157 yards receiving and 12 receiving touchdowns this fall. Oh, and he had just one drop all season, a remarkable stat given his usage as the go-to weapon for quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Harrison did not, however, win the Biletnikoff Award, which has a goal of being given annually to the country’s top wide receiver. Tennessee receiver Jalin Hyatt won the award.
Johnson Jr. moved from guard to left tackle this past offseason, and he immediately became a superstar. Johnson gave up his first sack since his freshman year in Ohio State’s regular season finale defeat to Michigan, per PFF, but he gave up just 10 total pressures from his left tackle spot this fall.

But they’re not the only two Buckeyes players to be honored by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, the team’s leading tackler and captain, was named as a second-team All-American. C.J. Stroud, a Heisman Trophy finalist, is also a second-team selection.
Buckeyes heavily represented on The Athletic’s All-American list
A week into December, and awards season continues to mow along. The Athletic put out its annual All-American teams Wednesday. It’s a list that recognizes 50 players across 32 schools.
Ohio State is tied with Georgia, Alabama, USC and Illinois for the most selections. Each of those teams boasts three All-Americans, according to The Athletic.
Harrison Jr. and Johnson Jr. were named first teamers by the outlet, while defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau was tabbed a second teamer.
C.J. Stroud was snubbed from the list, as was Tommy Eichenberg.
