Buckeyes won’t face Penn State in White Out road game

Ohio State has gotten quite used to playing Penn State in a White Out night game in Happy Valley every other year.

That won’t happen this year, though. The Buckeyes will travel to play the Nittany Lions on Oct. 29, but it won’t be the annual stadium-wide White Out game. No, the Nittany Lions have chosen the game against Minnesota earlier in the year for that occasion.

Ohio State still will have a hostile crowd against Penn State, as usual. But with a projected Noon start on FOX, the game won’t have the same night-game atmosphere and raucous crowd it normally does when the Buckeyes visit.

Instead, it’ll be a striped stadium, a much different tone than the intimidating White Out atmosphere the Buckeyes usually face when heading to State College.

New Tim May Podcast episode

As the Buckeyes make their way through the quiet part of summer workouts, the Tim May Podcast is back for another episode with yet another historical guest to break down part of the past of the football program.

Tim May is joined this week by Tom Levenick, a former Ohio State offensive lineman under Woody Hayes and Earle Bruce who won a Gator Bowl, a Fiesta Bowl and a Rose Bowl with the Buckeyes, to discuss some big parts of Buckeyes football history. Tom spent his time at Ohio State playing football and earning a journalism degree. He is the author of “Buckeyes for Life : Insider views of the most elite program in college athletics,” a book that takes a closer look at the Big Ten’s best football program and the bond that is formed by Ohio State football players.

He is also gearing up to write more books about the Buckeyes football program.

You will not want to miss that and plenty more news and analysis and in another edition of the Tim May Podcast.

Buckeyes extend offers to top prospects after one-day camp

That is the headline from the first summer recruiting camp of 2022 on the Buckeyes campus. Who earned the new offer and why? Lettermen Row’s Jeremy Birmingham has all the details about the offers extended by the Buckeyes on Wednesday — including a new potential fit at quarterback.
