COLUMBUS — Ohio State hasn’t finished with fewer than 11 wins — in a non-COVID season — since 2011.

The folks in Las Vegas don’t expect that streak to end this fall for the Buckeyes.

Oddsmakers at Fanduel Sportsbook have set the win totals for some notable college football teams around the country, and the Buckeyes total is out. Fanduel has set the total wins number at 10.5, leaning toward the over.

Ohio State win total: Over 10.5 (-115), under 10.5 (-105)

Ohio State is joined by Michigan as having a double-digit win line set already this summer. The Wolverines line is also at 10.5, but the juice leans toward the under (-122) that total rather than the over (+100).

Penn State’s win total is set at 9.5, while Iowa’s is currently sitting at 7.5 wins. Other notables from around the country include 11.5 wins for Georgia, 9.5 for LSU and Tennessee, 8.5 for Notre Dame and 3.5 wins for Deion Sanders and Colorado.

As for the Buckeyes, they don’t have an easy schedule to navigate to get to the double-digit win mark in Ryan Day’s fifth season, which will feature a new starting quarterback. Road trips to Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan will certainly be tough matchups, as will home games against Penn State, Michigan State and Minnesota.

But Ohio State has the most talent in the Big Ten. And the oddsmakers are showing faith that the talent on hand for the Buckeyes means they’ll get to at least 10 wins — and compete for a Big Ten and national championship.

Fanduel Sportsbook releases other early look-ahead lines for Ohio State season

Fanduel Sportsbook released its odds for the Big Ten title this week, and Ohio State is the early-summer preseason favorite. The Buckeyes (+165) are ahead of Michigan (+210), Penn State (+500), Wisconsin (+650) and Iowa (+1400).

The same book released lines for some of the biggest games on the Buckeyes slate this fall. Those lines are currently set:

  • The Buckeyes opened in February as a one-point underdog for their Nov. 25 road trip to Ann Arbor when they take on Michigan. It has remained steady since then.
  • Ohio State opened as a 7.5-point favorite over Notre Dame when the line was released in February. That line has since ballooned to 8.5 as of early May.
  • Ohio State also opened as a seven-point favorite for their home clash against Penn State on Oct. 21. That line has since moved to 10.5 points, signaling that the early money is pouring in on the Buckeyes.
  • The Buckeyes are also favored by 24.5 in the too-early set spread for their Nov. 11 home game vs. Michigan State.
