COLUMBUS — Ohio State coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes brass hit what most believe is a home-run hire last week.

Day hired Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles to take over the Ohio State defense and hopefully lead a turnaround for a much-maligned unit.

Last week, the Lettermen Row crew took a dive into the wild coaching carousel and what to expect during a crazy offseason. This week, the crew is back to break down the Knowles hiring and what the Ohio State record-breaking hiring means for the Buckeyes.

Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward is joined by former Ohio State quarterback Justin Zwick, former Buckeyes linebacker Bobby Carpenter, Nicole Cox of Roosters and Lettermen Row director of recruiting Jeremy Birmingham on the latest episode of Lettermen Live hosted by Roosters.

But the Knowles hiring is certainly not all that the all-star unit covered on Monday.

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy, which was announced on Saturday night. And Stroud had to grind his way through some Michigan trash talk from former Wolverines Heisman winner and current ESPN analyst Desmond Howard. So, Nicole and the guys took some time to address the Michigan trash talk.

And speaking of the Wolverines, the latest Lettermen Live episode wouldn’t be complete without some bonus analysis from the Buckeyes’ loss to Michigan at the end of November.

All of that and plenty more Buckeyes news and analysis are part of another jam-packed show. And don’t forget to grab the $2 appetizers every Tuesday at all Roosters locations. This week’s appetizer is fried pickles.
