COLUMBUS — Ohio State will likely not be at full strength when it squares off with Utah in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day.

The Buckeyes could potentially have multiple star players opt out in favor of protecting some of their draft stock as they head into the next stage of their lives and careers in the NFL.

Playing without some high-profile guys will be yet another test for Ohio State as it prepares for a hard-nosed Utes squad. And the Lettermen Live crew is back to break it all down from Roosters on Olentangy Road.

With Lettermen Row senior writer Austin Ward out in California, Lettermen Row director of recruiting Jeremy Birmingham takes the reins of hosting duties, and he is joined by former Ohio State quarterback Justin Zwick, former Buckeyes defensive back Tyvis Powell, Nicole Cox of Roosters and Lettermen Row beat writer Spencer Holbrook.

The crew gives a detailed preview of the Rose Bowl as Ohio State looks to put a good cap on a disappointing season and head into the offseason with some momentum.

The Buckeyes will have to fight through those likely opt-outs, though, and that’s one of the key points they touch on throughout Monday’s loaded episode – in addition to how Ohio State coach Ryan Day and his staff are trying to prepare their team for a spotlight game following a break from the holidays.

All of that and plenty more Buckeyes news and analysis are part of another jam-packed show. As we head into the new year, come out to Roosters for a good time and don’t forget to grab the $2 appetizers every Tuesday at all Roosters locations. This week’s appetizer is mini corn dogs.

As always, Lettermen Live is hosted by Roosters on Olentangy River Road in Columbus.
