COLUMBUS – Ohio State had one of its busiest recruiting periods in recent memory this month as the Buckeyes extended a massive flurry of offers while hitting the trail hard.

The Buckeyes coaching staff offered more than two dozen players over a 10-day span during the live period, creating a rolodex of brand-new names and faces for Ohio State to get to know better.

What was with that offer spree, offer surge, offer bonanza – or whatever you wanna call it?

That’s one of the questions Lettermen Row is here to break down as Director of Recruiting Jeremy Birmingham and recruiting beat writer Zack Carpenter return for another episode of Talking Stuff: The Ohio State Recruiting Podcast, presented by Byers Auto.

But, wait, there’s more!

While those new offers were extended to players in the Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025, Ohio State still has a simultaneous focus on wrapping up its 2022 recruiting class.

National Signing Day commences next Wednesday, and the Buckeyes are expected to officially add two more players – potentially three.

Defensive lineman Hero Kanu is already entrenched in the class after signing during the early period and publicly announcing his commitment afterward.

But defensive lineman Omari Abor and interior offensive lineman Carson Hinzman have not yet signed their national letters of intent with the Buckeyes. Will the staff have to sweat out any last-minute pushes from other programs for those two commits?

And what about Christen Miller? The defensive lineman out of Georgia is down to the Bulldogs, Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks for his final considerations. Will Miller’s relationships with Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson and Ryan Day be enough to carry the day?

Those are some of the key discussion points on this week’s episode of Talking Stuff: The Ohio State Recruiting Podcast presented by Byers Auto.
