COLUMBUS — Ohio State consistently lands elite talent and the latest On3 rankings update put that in perspective.

The On300 2024 rankings, released Monday afternoon, have an Ohio State commit as the undisputed No. 1 overall player.

Five-star Chandler (Az) quarterback Dylan Raiola still holds the top spot in the latest On300 evaluations for the 2024 class. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound signal-caller committed to the Buckeyes back in May and has been active on the recruiting trail for Ohio State both in his class and others.

Raiola is also the top-rated 2024 prospect in the On3 Consensus Rankings.

Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school underclassman. Looks like the top quarterback prospect and overall arm talent in the 2024 cycle early on. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Has a natural, loose throwing motion with unique arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Already has a deep catalog of throws as a rising junior in high school. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a sophomore. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a sophomore, not running for many yards. Turned in one of the more productive sophomore seasons among top 2024 quarterbacks.

Raiola joins a short, but very impressive, list of highly-touted quarterbacks to commit to the Buckeyes under coach Ryan Day. In Day’s four years as the head coach and six total seasons, he’s consistently brought in five-star quarterbacks. C.J. Stroud, Kyle McCord and Devin Brown all are former five-star prospects and make up the Buckeyes quarterback room.

“Coach Day is a very special coach, especially when it comes to developing quarterbacks,” Dylan Raiola said. “And the way his offense is designed creates great opportunities for success in many different ways.”

Ohio State has a real knack for landing major talent and the consistency of Dylan Raiola and his ranking are proof of that.
