COLUMBUS — Ohio State picked up its second commitment in the 2024 cycle on Thursday: Ian Moore has committed to the Buckeyes.

The four-star New Palestine (Ind) High offensive lineman chose Ohio State over Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State and others.

Moore is the No. 3 rated interior offensive lineman and a top-100 prospect according to the On3 Consensus Rankings.

The Buckeyes climbed to the top of his radar shortly after he visited Ohio State for the Notre Dame game. The Buckeyes physicality against the Fighting Irish impressed Moore, and he’s watched the offensive line unit improve weekly.

Ian Moore built up his relationship with offensive line coach Justin Frye after he picked up his Ohio State offer. He had an impressive workout at the June camp and the two remained in close contact since.

“It’s crazy to think about,” Moore said. “I never thought I’d be in this position and to play for a coach like that it’s just crazy.”

Moore joins five-star Chandler (Arizona) quarterback Dylan Raiola as the second pledge to the class. Moore is the first commit to go through a recruitment process with Frye solidified as the offensive line coach.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has long tabbed the Buckeyes as the favorites to land the 6-foot-6, 295-pound talent from the Hoosier State. In the days prior to his commitment, the Buckeyes were favored with a 40.6-percent chance.

“I want to thank my parents and family for being with me through this journey and having my back every step of the way,” Moore said in his Twitter announcement.

“Lastly I’d like to thank the OSU coaching staff for blessing me with this opportunity. Y’all have made me feel like I have a second family. Can’t wait for the next chapter of my life with y’all.”

And now the Buckeyes continue to build momentum on the recruiting trail, signaled by the commitment of Ian Moore.
