The Scoreboard: How Ohio State Commits Performed Nov. 24-25

COLUMBUS — Ohio State failed to win the only game on its schedule it had trained an entire year for. The Buckeyes made the three-hour bus ride to Ann Arbor and left with a 30-24 loss against Michigan.

Ohio State’s playoff fate and hopes hang in the balance of several outcomes that need to go its way. All could have been avoided if the Buckeyes had simply won.

Future Buckeyes, however, took care of business last week and Lettermen Row looks at how the remaining Ohio State commits performed last week.

Running Back

Four-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla) St. Thomas Aquinas running back Jordan Lyle had 13 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown in a win. He also had one reception for 30 yards.

Wide Receiver

Five-star Hollywood (Fla) Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had eight catches for 107 yards and one touchdown in a win.

Four-star St. Louis (Mo) Christian Brothers wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan had nine receptions for 168 yards, 214 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in a win.

2025 four-star Cocoa (Fla) wide receiver Jayvan Boggs had nine catches for 113 yards and one touchdown in a win last week.

Tight End

Four-star Chattanooga (Tenn) Baylor School tight end Max LeBlanc was on a bye last week. He returns to action on Thursday.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville tight end Damarion Witten had five catches in a win last week.

Offensive Line

Four-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive linemen Deontae and Devontae Armstrong won last week and have advanced to their third consecutive state championship.

Defensive Line

Five-star Buford (Ga) EDGE Eddrick Houston had five tackles in a loss that ended his senior season. Houston will be a mid-year enrollee at Ohio State.

Linebacker

Four-star Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy linebacker Payton Pierce had 20 tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack and a touchdown in a win.

2025 three-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban linebacker Eli Lee had 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack in a win that advanced him to the state championship game.

Cornerback

Four-star Springfield (Ohio) cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. won over the weekend and advanced to his third consecutive state championship. Scott threw the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville cornerback Bryce West did not play in the Tarblooders’ state semifinal victory.

Four-star Chandler (Ariz) Basha cornerback Miles Lockhart had his senior season end last week. He will be a mid-year enrollee at Ohio State.

Safety

Three-star Fort Myers (Fla) Bishop Verot safety Leroy Roker ended his senior season last week. He had seven tackles in his final high school game.
