The Scoreboard: How Ohio State Commits Performed Sept. 21-23
COLUMBUS — Ohio State added another historic win to the program’s collection on Saturday. The Buckeyes needed every bit of 60 minutes to beat Notre Dame in South Bend, but they got the job done.
Not only did Ohio State get the job done, but the future of the program did as well. As always, Lettermen Row goes through the weekend slate and breaks down how each of the Buckeyes’ commits performed over the weekend.
Quarterback
Five-star Fairburn (Ga) Langston Hughes quarterback Air Noland went 16-24 for 202 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a loss. Noland also had two carries that went for six yards.
2025 four-star Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair threw one touchdown in a 36-6 loss Friday.
Running Back
Four-star San Antonio (Texas) Veterans Memorial running back James Peoples was on a bye week last week. Peoples is yet to make his season debut, but the future Ohio State running back announced on his Instagram that he is back at practice.
Four-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla) St. Thomas Aquinas running back Jordan Lyle ran for just 17 yards on three carries in a win.
Three-star Pickerington (Ohio) North running back Sam Williams-Dixon had four carries in a win.
Wide Receiver
Five-star Hollywood (Fla) Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver and future Ohio State star Jeremiah Smith lit it up on national television last Thursday. The No. 1 wide receiver hauled in nine receptions for 101 yards and two scores in a win.
Five-star New Haven (Ind) wide receiver Mylan Graham was limited last weekend after an ankle injury in the second quarter. He had 18 all-purpose yards.
Four-star St. Louis (Mo) Christian Brothers wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan recorded three receptions in a loss.
2026 four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. had six receptions for 91 yards and two touchdowns in a win.
Tight End
Four-star Chattanooga (Tenn) Baylor School tight end Max LeBlanc had one touchdown reception in a win over the weekend.
Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville tight end Damarion Witten was used all over the field in a rebound win last Friday. The do-it-all offensive weapon for the Tarblooders lined up as a wide receiver, tight end and even in the backfield.
Offensive Line
Four-star New Palestine (Ind) offensive tackle Ian Moore picked up his fourth consecutive win this season. Moore led the Dragons’ offensive line that paved the way for 334 total yards of offense.
Four-star Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward offensive linemen Deontae and Devontae Armstrong rebounded nicely with a win this week. The Eagles have scored an average of 31 points per game.

Three-star Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic IOL Marc Nave dominated in a shutout win over fellow Ohio powerhouse Cleveland St. Ignatius.
Defensive Line
Five-star Chicago (Ill) St. Ignatius defensive tackle Justin Scott led a defense that pitched a shutout in the first half, but that’s where the highlight ends. The future Ohio State Rushman and the Ignatius defense let in 21 second-half points in a loss.
Five-star Buford (Ga) defensive lineman Eddrick Houston had three tackles in a win over the weekend.
Three-star Stafford (Va) Mountain View defensive lineman Eric Mensah limited his opponent to 264 yards in a win.
Linebacker
Four-star Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut linebacker Garrett Stover racked up 10 tackles in his second win of the season.
Four-star Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy linebacker Payton Pierce picked up his fourth win of the season. Through the midway point of his senior year, Pierce has 63 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.
Cornerback
Four-star Springfield (Ohio) cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. had two tackles in a loss.
Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville cornerback Bryce West did not dress for his game on Friday due to injury. The future Ohio State corner was knocked out of the IMG Academy game early.
Four-star Chandler (Ariz) Basha cornerback Miles Lockhart was a lockdown defender, again, in another multi-possessional win.
Safety
Four-star West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep safety Jaylen McClain had eight tackles and a fumble recovery in his first win of the season.
