Ohio State commits weekend schedule, Buckeyes prepare for home opener

COLUMBUS — A number of Ohio State’s commits will have a quick turnaround this weekend. A number of the Buckeyes’ pledges — regardless of class — will play their game Friday night and then head to Ohio State for the season opener.

Lettermen Row has already confirmed a few of the expected visitors heading to campus this coming weekend. But before they get there, we look at the weekend slate starting with the offensive commits.

Quarterbacks

Four-star Fairburn (Ga) Langston Hughes quarterback Air Noland has a bye week this week. The future Ohio State signal caller through the first three games has thrown for 521 yards and five touchdowns at a 59.7 percent completion rate. He has also thrown three interceptions.

2025 four-star Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair doesn’t have to go far this weekend. The future Buckeye travels across town to Bellefontaine (Ohio) Benjamin Local.

Running Back

Four-star San Antonio (Texas) Veterans Memorial running back James Peoples travels to San Antonio (Texas) MacArthur. Peoples has yet to make his season debut.

Four-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla) St. Thomas Aquinas running back Jordan Lyle hosts Cocoa (Fla) on Friday.

Three-star Pickerington (Ohio) North running back Sam Williams-Dixon hosts Pickerington (Ohio) Central on Friday. Lettermen Row will be on hand to watch Williams-Dixon and a few other potential Ohio State targets.

Wide Receiver

Five-star Hollywood (Fla) Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver Jeremiah Smith hosts Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic on Friday. The future Buckeye will then travel to Columbus for the home opener.

Five-star New Haven (Ind) wide receiver Mylan Graham travels to Leo (Ind) on Friday night.

Four-star St. Louis (Mo) Christian Brothers wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan travels to nearby St. Louis (Mo) University High School. 2025 four-star tight end and Ohio State legacy Landon Pace plays for St. Louis University H.S.

2026 four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. hosts Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier on Friday.

Tight End

Four-star Chattanooga (Tenn) Baylor School tight end Max LeBlanc hosts Nashville (Tenn) Lipscomb Academy. Former linebacker target Edwin Spillman plays for Lipscomb Academy.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville tight end Damarion Witten hosts Cleveland (Ohio) John Adams on Friday.

Offensive Line

Four-star New Palestine (Ind) offensive tackle Ian Moore hosts Fortville (Ind) Mt. Vernon on Friday.

Ohio State twin offensive linemen Deontae and Devontae Armstrong of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward hit the road this weekend. The twin brothers play against Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder on Saturday.

Three-star Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic interior offensive lineman Marc Nave travels to Bloomfield Hills (Mich) Brother Rice.

Defensive Line

Five-star Chicago (Ill) St. Ignatius defensive tackle Justin Scott hosts Chicago (Ill) Brother Rice.

Five-star Buford (Ga) defensive lineman Eddrick Houston has a bye week this week.

Linebacker

Four-star Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut linebacker Garrett Stover travels to Delaware (Ohio) for his first conference game of the year.

Four-star Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy linebacker Payton Pierce hosts Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley on Friday.

Cornerback

Four-star Springfield (Ohio) cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. is looking to get back in the win column this week. He travels to Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne.

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville cornerback Bryce West hosts Cleveland (Ohio) John Adams on Friday.

Four-star Chandler (Ariz) Basha cornerback Miles Lockhart travels to Scottsdale (Ariz) Saguaro.

Safety

Four-star West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep safety Jaylen McClain has a bye week this week.
