COLUMBUS — Four-star Loganville (Ga) Grayson tight end Kylan Fox holds his pick of the litter on where he’ll play at the next level.

That’s why the No. 8 tight end in the On3 Consensus narrowed down his options into a top 15 and Ohio State made the cut.

Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Stanford and Tennessee round out the list.

Fox holds over 50 offers but has whittled down the list.

Newly-appointed tight ends coach Keenan Bailey has taken over for former position coach Kevin Wilson gracefully and for the Buckeyes to be a top choice for Fox is a good sign of things on the trail with Bailey running the room.

Lettermen Row looks at Fox’s timeline with Ohio State and what’s next.

Ohio State Activity

Kylan Fox visited Ohio State for his first gameday visit in Columbus when the Buckeyes played Rutgers on Oct. 1.

While the Buckeyes soundly beat the Scarlet Knights, Fox was able to take in the presence and fans inside Ohio Stadium — an experience he won’t forget.

“The atmosphere definitely [stood out],” Fox said. “The fans packed the stadium.”

Aside from the fans, Fox closely watched tight end Cade Stover navigate throughout the afternoon. Stover only had one catch for 12 yards, but he had been a machine in the weeks prior and that was something Fox was certainly aware of.

In fact, how Ohio State opened up its usage of its tight ends this past fall was a major eye-opener for Fox.

“Seeing dudes like [Cade] Stover have a big impact on the offense makes me see myself in the offense as well,” Fox said.

Fox had built up a close relationship with Wilson and inevitably Bailey. Now that Bailey has the reins to the tight end room, that relationship continues to flourish.

What’s next?

Most assumedly, Fox will take visits throughout the spring to the 15 schools on his list.

Fox’s next visit will mark his third trip to Columbus. He visited for the Rutgers game last October and then camped in June where he earned his offer from the Buckeyes.
