COLUMBUS — Ohio State is set to find out its fate with a trio of important prospects on its 2024 big board. It all starts this weekend with five-star Buford (Ga) safety KJ Bolden making his decision Saturday at 7:30 p.m

Bolden is down to Ohio State, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia and Alabama. Numerous experts covering this recruitment don’t have a definitive guess on where the No. 1 safety is going to land, and that’s where the latest conversation in the Lettermen Lounge starts.

Hosts Spencer Holbrook and Matt Parker dive right into the latest with Bolden and why Ohio State deserves some more noise about it.

The Buckeyes have effectively put all their eggs in one basket, which hurt them in the 2023 cycle. Will it work in the 2024 cycle? They along with everyone else will find out Saturday night.

Another five-star prospect from Buford under the microscope is defensive lineman Eddrick Houston.

The No. 4 defensive lineman and No. 21 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings still remains high on Ohio State and with an August 22 commitment date, his birthday, it could be a good day for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State is going to have to fend off Alabama, however. The Crimson Tide have really entered this recruitment and are going to push the Buckeyes here. Ryan Day and Larry Johnson have been instrumental in this recruitment and as of today, Lettermen Row feels good about the scarlet and gray.

The big kicker for defensive line recruiting was when five-star Washington D.C. Friendship Collegiate Academy EDGE Dylan Stewart committed to South Carolina earlier this week. The Buckeyes need Houston’s pledge to maintain some semblance of relevancy on a national scale for defensive linemen.

One final prospect we spoke heavily about was four-star St. Louis (Mo) Christian Brothers College wideout Jeremiah McClellan. He will make his decision on August 13 and is between Ohio State, Oregon, Missouri, Georgia and LSU. All signs point toward Brian Hartline landing another impressive talent.
