Montgomery isn’t just one of the most talented prospects in the class, he’s one of the most talented and athletic prospects to sign to Ohio State under head coach Ryan Day in some time. He has a quick step on his kick slides but also makes plenty of blocks in space on screens — something Ohio State fans know all too well about.
The top-rated Ohio prospect leads the offensive line haul for Frye. He is also one of three Ohioans in the offensive line class joining Austin Siereveld and Josh Padilla. Offensive tackle Miles Walker rounds out the class.

How did Montgomery end up at Ohio State?
For a lot of the prospects that commit to Ohio State, they always mention the culture and the brotherhood that’s associated with the program.
And that’s no exception with Montgomery.
“I have taken countless visits to Ohio State and it is 100% a brotherhood,” Montgomery told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons shortly after he committed to Ohio State. “The culture fits me, the environment has everyone so close, and it has always felt like home to me.
“The fans I get to play in front of are great, the players I get to play with are special, this is like a dream coming true for me.”
