Signed: Ohio State officially welcomes tight end Max LeBlanc to the program
The Early-Signing Period is here and Ohio State is set to once again bring in one of the country’s best recruiting classes. Lettermen Row is tracking the Buckeyes recruiting news throughout the signing period as 2024 commitments officially join the Ohio State football program. The latest Letter of Intent is in: Max LeBlanc has signed with the Buckeyes.
COLUMBUS — If there was one position group that gave Ohio State zero headaches on the recruiting trail this cycle, it was tight end.
The Buckeyes have two heading their way and one of those two is Max LeBlanc.
He just signed his letter of intent and made it official on his verbal commitment. But what does it mean for Ohio State?
Lettermen Row breaks it down.
Who is Max LeBlanc?
Max LeBlanc is a four-star tight end originally from Montreal, Canada, but played at Chattanooga (Tenn) Baylor School. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end chose Ohio State over Michigan, Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky.
He is the first tight end to commit and sign with new position coach Keenan Bailey running the room for the Buckeyes.
LeBlanc headlines a solid haul for Bailey that’s rounded out by Damarion Witten from Cleveland Glenville.

How did LeBlanc end up at Ohio State?
Max LeBlanc’s recruitment was an interesting one in that, it was very quick. Most recruitments for the Buckeyes are never slam dunks, well most aren’t.
But it only took one unofficial visit for LeBlanc to see and trust what Ohio State was pitching on the recruiting trail.
“I just had a great feeling in general whenever I stepped on campus,” LeBlanc told On3. “Ohio State’s been my dream school since I started playing football so when I got the offer, it was a big deal for me. Meeting the players, the coaches and seeing how they are in practice and my relationship with the current players, it was just awesome when I was there.”
Ohio State wants to add two tight ends every year with Bailey running the room. Max LeBlanc was the first and he certainly won’t be the last. Even though he won’t be an early enrollee, LeBlanc will be a critical addition to the Buckeyes’ roster moving forward and for years to come.
