COLUMBUS — Ohio State has 23 strong commits to its 2025 class and a few of them got new rankings updates.

Sixteen of the Buckeyes 23 pledges are ranked inside the On300 and with a new rankings update on Monday, Lettermen Row wastes no time breaking it down.

CB Na’eem Offord

New Ranking: No. 8 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 7 overall

Five-star Plus+ Birmingham (Ala) Parker cornerback and Ohio State commit Na’eem Offord checks in as a top-10 prospect in the latest On300 rankings update. He’s one of two elite cornerbacks in the Buckeyes’ 2025 class and a major win for cornerback coach Tim Walton.

CB Devin Sanchez

New Ranking: No. 9 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 9 overall

Five-star Plus+ Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback and Ohio State commit Devin Sanchez remains locked in place with his ranking. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Texan committed to the Buckeyes back in January and has been a tireless peer recruiter for Ohio State.

QB Tavien St. Clair

New Ranking: No. 15 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 28 overall

Five-star Plus+ Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair has finally earned his fifth star by On3. St. Clair has tirelessly worked out on the camp circuit whether it was OT7 games, Rivals camp and of course his performance at the Elite 11.

St. Clair is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback and lives roughly 45 minutes northwest of Ohio State.

WR Quincy Porter

New Ranking: No. 27 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 31 overall.

It wouldn’t be a major surprise to see four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic wide receiver Quincy Porter end up as a five-star prospect. He’s one of the bigger-bodied prospects in the 2025 cycle checking in at 6-foot-3.5, 200-pounds.

He committed to Ohio State the day he was supposed to leave home for his Michigan official visit.

LB Riley Pettijohn

New Ranking: No. 43 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 42 overall

Not much change for the Buckeyes’ newest commit. Four-star McKinney (Texas) linebacker Riley Pettijohn is one of the best linebackers in the country and he continues to showcase that.

He announced on July 6 that he committed to Ohio State in a major victory on the recruiting trail for the Buckeyes.

SAF Faheem Delane

New Ranking: No. 87 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 88 overall

The Buckeye bump.

Four-star Olney (Md) Good Counsel safety Faheem Delane moved up one spot in the On300 rankings update. Delane shut down his recruitment quickly after he committed to Ohio State before he even left campus from his official visit.

LB Tarvos Alford

New Ranking: No. 89 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 81 overall

Four-star Port St. Lucie (Fla) Vero Beach linebacker Tarvos Alford was the top-priority linebacker that James Laurinaitis was after in the 2025 cycle. An eight-spot drop in the rankings during the offseason doesn’t change anything in regard to how talented Alford is, but more of a reflection of others.

EDGE Zahir Mathis

New Ranking: No. 123 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 123 overall

No rankings update for four-star Philadelphia (Pa) Imhotep Institute EDGE Zahir Mathis. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound EDGE committed to Ohio State in January, but has sniffed around some other programs. Mathis will take his official visit to Ohio State in the fall.

OT Carter Lowe

New Ranking: No. 127 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 127

No rankings update for four-star Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe. He’s been locked in with the Buckeyes ever since he committed in January.

RB Bo Jackson

New Ranking: No. 135 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 125 overall

Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela St. Joseph ‘athlete’ Bo Jackson committed to Ohio State in early June and has been locked in ever since. A 10-spot drop in the rankings during the offseason is interesting, but make no mistake, Jackson is one of the best running backs in the country.

TE Brody Lennon

New Ranking: No. 137 overall

Previous Ranking: Unranked overall prospect

How about that, folks? Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Gilmour Academy tight end Brody Lennon is getting a massive bump in the rankings. He went from unranked to No. 137 overall. He went from an underrecruited, overlooked guy to an Ohio State commit.

This summer has been a big one for Lennon. Things are only beginning for him.

DL Trajen Odom

New Ranking: No. 160 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 137

Four-star Matthews (N.C.) Weddington defensive lineman Trajen Odom was a major victory on the recruiting trail for the Buckeyes. He committed to Ohio State over Oregon, USC and UCLA among others.

TE Nate Roberts

New Ranking: No. 176 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 165 overall

Falling 12 spots in the offseason is a bit of a head-scratcher for four-star Washington (Okla) tight end Nate Roberts.

He’s been position coach Keenan Bailey’s No. 1 guy in the 2025 cycle for a long time now and that hasn’t changed now that Roberts has committed.

EDGE Zion Grady

New Ranking: No. 266 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 190

This is one of the biggest tumbles in the recruiting rankings among any prospect. Four-star Troy (Ala) Enterprise EDGE Zion Grady committed to Ohio State one day after his official visit ended.

SAF DeShawn Stewart

New Ranking: No. 293 overall

Previous Ranking: No. 183 overall

Four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic safety DeShawn Stewart has another drop in the recruiting rankings — but to the tune of 110 spots?

Stewart committed to Ohio State in the spring and has been locked in.

WR De’zie Jones

New Ranking: No. 295

Previous Ranking: No. 295

If there’s one player that’s going to continue going under the radar, it’s four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic wide receiver De’zie Jones.

He’s a prospect Ohio State is absolutely in love with and are counting on him to do big things when he gets on campus.
