COLUMBUS – Talking Stuff: The Ohio State Recruiting Podcast, presented by Byers Auto, returns for another episode following a busy week for the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail.

Lettermen Row’s Jeremy Birmingham and Zack Carpenter return in the latest edition to break it all down.

Four new full-time assistants have been brought into the Ohio State program by Buckeyes coach Ryan Day, and three of them have already been busy on the recruiting trail.

Offensive line coach Justin Frye has been making strong early impressions with some top Ohio State targets, including a visit with Findlay’s (Ohio) Luke Montgomery.

Perry Eliano and Tim Walton are the new Buckeyes defensive backs coaches, and Eliano has already gotten his name and face out to recruits with his first offer as an Ohio State coach going out to Micah Hudson on Tuesday.

Defensive coordinator Jim Knowles has been getting involved as well, including a visit with Sonny Styles and C.J. Hicks during Styles’ basketball game last weekend and extending his first offer as a Buckeyes coach to Tackett Curtis.

It’s an interesting and pivotal point in recruiting for Ohio State with the influx of new coaches. They are getting to know the Buckeyes recruits both in film evaluation and off the field to see if those players are personality and talent fits for the program.

Because of different coaching personalities and coaching styles now in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, we are likely to see new recruits be prioritized and others fall further down the list based on who are good fits.

In addition to the coaches traveling all over the country and the state of Ohio, the Buckeyes staff is simultaneously hoping to lock down the signature of defensive end commit Omari Abor in the 2022 class.

The Duncanville (Texas) four-star prospect has been committed to the Buckeyes for more than two weeks, and he is exactly two weeks away from signing his National Letter of Intent during the Feb. 2 signing day.

Will Ohio State be able to successfully sweat out any potential last-minute visits and lock up Abor? Are the Buckeyes in position to add Christen Miller, whose recruitment is coming down to the wire, alongside Abor?

Those are a pair of key discussion points on the latest episode of Talking Stuff: The Ohio State Recruiting Podcast presented by Byers Auto.

Check out the video below as Lettermen Row takes a deep dive into what lies ahead for the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail and breaks down plenty more Ohio State recruiting news.
